Royal New Kent, one of the few courses designed by the late Mike Strantz, offers a captivating golf experience. Known for his highly creative approach to golf course architecture, Strantz crafted a 7,480-yard masterpiece that challenges traditional design norms. The course, which originally opened in 1997 as The Tradition at Royal New Kent, seamlessly integrates its holes to create both a functional and visually stunning layout. After closing for several years, new ownership revitalized the course, allowing future generations to enjoy its unique beauty. Strantz, whose notable designs include Tobacco Road in North Carolina and both True Blue and Caledonia Golf and Fish Club in the Myrtle Beach area, drew inspiration from the classic seaside links of Ireland, such as Ballybunion and Royal County Down, when creating Royal New Kent.
